Issue 16: ‘Performance’ by Genie

Every action, every move (especially if it is made by a woman) is perceived as a performance.
Whatever she performs, be it something as simple as walking, eating, reading, etc., her performance is judged based on the unspoken and unwritten rules (created by men) determining what a woman should do and should not, what a woman should look like and not.
There are thousands of pairs of eyes constantly staring, looking at her and judging her performance.
But the only pair that really matters, woman, is your own.

Genie is an artist and a feminist.
She has an unusual affinity towards grass. You’ll find her walking bare feet on lush green lawns or sitting under a tree, reading a book or sketching the view ahead in some corner of the world.
